The heart health

The story of the foundation takes an even more personal turn when it comes to supporting the Institut universitaire de cardiologie et de pneumologie de Québec (IUCPQ). Indeed, Marcel Pelchat, the family patriarch, received exceptional care at this institution for his heart condition and feels deep gratitude toward the medical team. “My father was treated and supported wonderfully,” shares Rose. “It's thanks to them that he is still with us today. He owes them so much.” It is only natural, then, that the Foundation of the two Rose is committed to supporting the IUCPQ Foundation.

The well-being of women

True to its commitment to the community, the Foundation of the Two Roses has made women in need its priority, especially those facing vulnerability, precariousness, and violence. Aware of the harsh realities these women face, the foundation aims to contribute to their support, care, and protection, particularly those living in situations of domestic violence. Its goal is to provide resources, assistance, and opportunities to help them rebuild their lives in a safe and nurturing environment.

This cause has been at the heart of the Pelchat family's efforts from the very beginning, notably in 2017, when they celebrated one million clients served over 40 years. On that occasion, Marcel Pelchat Salon made a generous donation to La Maison de Marthe, an organization that supports women who have experienced prostitution and provides them with the guidance and care needed to rebuild their lives.
